Back To The Bricks Swap Meet
On May 16th we participated in the Back To The Bricks Swap Meet at Crossroads Village. We handed out free car air fresheners and Kids Travel Activity Packs for Motorcycle Awareness Month. We met a lot of incredible people, made nsome useful contacts, and initiated many conversations about looking out for motorcycles!
Haircuts for a great cause on May 17th!! Our haircut fundraiser at The Clip Corner in Clio raised over $400 to help fund our Kids Travel Activity Packs. The haircuts were flying! We also sold a substantial amount of Eyeballs Out For Bikers merchandise to bring the total to over $700! A hug thank you to The Clip Corner and those that stopped by for a haircut and merch. We appreciate you!!
Leo's Coney-Clio Fundraiser
On June 2nd we held a fundraiser at Leo's Coney-Clio. Leo's was extremely generous and donated 10% of profits for 4-8pm to The Gunner Dortch Foundation! We ended up getting $350 donated to help fund our Kids Travel Activity Packs. We also sold a ton of Eyeballs Out For Bikers merch to bring the grand total to $775. Thank you Leo's Coney and the local community for showing up. We appreciate you!
The inaugural Gunner Dortch's Revving For Remembrance was a huge success! We had quite a few bikes show up, as well as a lot of non-riders. The raffle, silent auction, and live auction contained almost 85 items donated by local businesses and individuals. It was a lot of fun, and raised over $6,200 to finish funding The Gunner Dortch Memorial Scholarship at Mott Community College. A huge thank you to all that volunteered, donated, and participated, we couldn't do it without you!!
We attended multiple Bike Nights at Vehicle City Harley Davidson sponsored by Thunder Roads Magazine this summer. They are always a fun time where we get to meet amazing people willing to hear our story and show their support for our mission!
Gunner's Trailer made an appearance in the Parade of Tropical Fools in Caseville on August 19th where we handed out candy as well as Gunner Dortch Memorial Foundation silicone bracelets. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet and talk to all the amazing people who participated and attended. Thank you to eveyone who took a moment to hear our story!
The Leighton Family was so generous to let us display Gunner's Trailer at their Family Fun Day. We got to spread our motorcycle awareness message, while visiting great friends, and supporting a fantastic cause!
