Transparency

At The Gunner Dortch Memorial Foundation, we strive to be as transparent as possible.  We are funded by the generosity and donations of people who believe in our mission, to help save motorcyclists lives!  We collect all of our donations securely through our GoFundMe campaign.  We keep track of each contribution and make sure 100% goes towards funding our initiatives. Our foundation is totally volunteer run. No one receives a paycheck for their time.  We are all people who believe in the necessity of educating both drivers and riders in the need to be alert and aware on the road. Let's bring everyone home safely.

We will occasionally post updates on this website about total funds raised, and the initiatives they helped fund. We want our donors to see the effect their donations make!

How we allocate funds:

70% directly funds motorcycle awareness promotional materials 

20% covers operational costs such as supplies for events and promotion

10% is held for emergencies such as repairs to Gunner's Trailer

In the future if funds allow, we would like to offer scholarships to trades students in local schools. This would be separate from The Gunner Dortch Memorial Scholarship at Mott Community College. As that time approaches, we will adjust these percentages as necessary.
